IT Change Manager - 12 months FTC

Job Introduction

Operates in line with the Bank's Risk Management framework (including sub-frameworks) and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate and timely escalation of any concerns to their line manager.

UK Technology (UKT) is responsible for architecting, developing, and securing IT solutions for the UK Business. This role sits within the 'Systems & Infrastructure' function (UKTO). UKTO plays a central role supporting all technology infrastructure on behalf of the UK Bank and its subsidiaries including the implementation, support and maintenance of technology solutions, service delivery, technical infrastructure, end user support and IT continuity capabilities.

As the IT Change Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all Change management commitments are met, both ongoing commitments arising from existing technology services and the co-ordination of all Change Management within UKTO.

The successful applicant will join during a time of significant change within the 'Systems & Infrastructure' function. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, in particular members of the Systems & Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance, and Information Security functions, giving you the opportunity to build a wide network at the Bank. This role would suit a self-starter with excellent attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities

  • Day to day Change Management responsibilities:
      • Chair Change Advisory Board including preparation of agenda and post meeting actions.
      • Review UK RFCs and ensure they meet quality requirements.
      • Approve all UK RFCs through service management tool.
      • Represent Change Management at Group Change Advisory Board.
      • Manage change management inbox.
      • Represent Change Management at all relevant internal meetings.
      • Complete post implementation reviews of failed changes in conjunction with Incident and problem Management.
      • Manage and Chair the Major Change Board.
      • Review all standard change requests and run the Standard Change Board.
      • Support release manager in all day-to-day release activities.
      • Annual review of Change Management documentation and processes.
      • Provide background to monthly Change Management reporting.
  • Training, Awareness and Culture:
    • Help embed a pro-active and positive change culture within the department.
    • Provide advice, guidance, training, and subject matter expertise as required.
    • Identify and implement improvements and efficiency savings related to Change Management activity within UKTO.

  • Professional competence and relevant experience in ITIL v3/v4 Change Management
  • Knowledge of control frameworks, industry standard and regulatory guidance including IRSO 27001, ISO20000, COBIT, FCA/PRA
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile change management techniques
  • Experience of using IT Service Delivery Tools
  • Strong technical PC skills with ability to work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Professional standard of presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
  • Highly collaborative, with demonstrable ability to network, negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Team Player. Enjoys collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others. Assumes good intent in others, and actively does their part to make a positive work environment.
