Role Introduction

Advanced are looking for an IT Asset & Configuration Manager to join the ITO Asset Management Team.

In this role you will be delivering, and supporting the day-to-day delivery of IT asset and configuration management services, using your expertise to help drive and continuously improve our service model and helping to onboard and exit customers both into the ITAM service and onto our ITSM tool (ServiceNow).

You will be experienced in all aspects of IT hardware and software asset management and CMDB management, capable of working within a Managed Services environment servicing multiple customers and applying IT Service Management best practice within an ITIL based framework to deliver successful outcomes.

Communication and collaboration will be paramount in this role, you will work closely with both your own team members as well as business and customer stakeholders to distil best practices and encourage closer cooperation.

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to visit the client site on a weekly basis.

What You Will Do

  • Working closely with the team leader to ensure end-to-end processes, policies and procedures are in place for asset and configuration management covering acquisition, deployment, tracking, security, decommissioning, and disposal.
  • Providing input into the ongoing structure and management of the CMDB as required within the ITSM tool (ServiceNow).
  • Work closely with the service delivery and technical teams, ensuring that all related controls, processes, and procedures are in place and followed for both hardware and software assets.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are followed in line with best practice and in line with wider IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) methodologies.

What You Will Have

  • Experience delivering an ITAM function, leading and influencing day-to-day operations of the service.
  • Excellent communication verbal and written, being able to operate at all levels. Understand people and cultural differences to build good relationships with colleagues.
  • Capable of working with technical teams (support and delivery) managing software and hardware configuration items within a mature lifecycle management process.
  • A proven track record in delivering and working within a formal, ITIL based framework using ITSM/ITAM methodologies for Asset and Configuration Management, ideally in a Managed Services environment where services are being delivered across multiple customers.
