About the role

We're seeking an experienced service delivery focused Application Delivery Manager (ADM) to lead the Financial Services Applications team. Working within Group IT this is a pivotal role where you will shape how our IT services are managed, delivered, and optimised to meet the business and IT's needs, directly supporting our Sales and Agency division.

As Application Delivery Manager, you'll lead and motivate multi-functional teams, ensuring end-to-end IT services are secure, robust, efficient, and aligned with both business and IT objectives. You'll play a key role in supporting the launch of new SaaS applications, managing an extensive suite of legacy systems, and driving a complex programme of decommissioning, migration, virtualisation, and upgrades. With accountability for delivery in your area, you'll work within established project and programme controls to ensure successful outcomes.

You will have experience of transitioning new applications and changes into service, requiring strong coordination across both IT and business teams. You'll also oversee third-party relationships, manage outsourced IT services and SaaS applications, and apply your excellent communication and influence to ensure services are delivered to the highest standards.

About you

You'll be an accomplished IT leader with a proven track record of delivering IT services and change within a financial services or regulated environment within an ITIL and SSDLC framework. With experience in agile delivery and service management, you'll confidently guide teams through day-to-day operations while also leading broader transformation and service improvement programmes.

You'll take accountability for outcomes, showing initiative and driving results with a strong focus on delivery excellence. At the same time, you'll demonstrate agility, adapting to changing priorities and helping teams embrace new ways of working. A natural challenger, you'll question the status quo to achieve better outcomes while maintaining a clear customer focus.

Your ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels will be essential in shaping decisions, supporting change, and ensuring services are delivered effectively. You'll excel at stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships across business and IT functions to foster alignment and collaboration.

You'll thrive in teamwork, creating an environment where teams are motivated, supported, and empowered to succeed. You'll champion continuous improvement, embedding smarter, more efficient ways of working and ensuring high standards across all aspects of service delivery.

To join the team, you must also have:

  • Experience of leading multi-disciplinary IT development and support teams within a financial services or regulated environment such as Banking, Finance, or Insurance. (Essential)
  • Track record of successful IT Application related change and development delivery and improvements
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and secure software development frameworks (SSDLC)
  • Significant experience of stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and good commercial awareness.
