About the role

We're seeking an experienced change and project Application Delivery Manager (ADM) within the FS Applications team. Working within Group IT to oversee the delivery of a diverse change and transformation portfolio for Financial Services and Avon Insurance, directly supporting our Sales and Agency division. This is a pivotal role where you will help shape how our IT application services are strategically designed, delivered and efficiently operated, whilst being fully aligned with business objectives, and maintaining compliance across our regulated products and services.

As an ADM, you bring a strong background in agile delivery, applying agile principles to drive efficiency, responsiveness, supporting teams and enabling customer-focused outcomes via an iterative delivery model. With a focus on both BAU and transformation initiatives, you will remove blockers, help optimise the way we work into a more modern, collaborative, and iterative operating model. Overseeing the full lifecycle of application changes, from initiation through to deployment and post-implementation review, whilst ensuring the applications remain fit-for-purpose and aligned with evolving Business needs.

You will work closely with Business and Product Owners to evaluate the impact of change, ensuring initiatives align with strategic priorities. You will also influence IT services and business requirements for both new and existing applications, manage third-party relationships, risks and governance, oversee outsourced IT services and SaaS applications.

You'll embed an ethos of best practice and continuously coaching the team, proactively managing risks across IT services and identifying emerging risks as new services are introduced. From launching new SaaS applications to managing legacy systems, assisting delivering complex programmes of integration, decommissioning, migration, and upgrades.

About you

You'll be an accomplished IT leader with a proven track record of delivering change ideally within a Financial Services or regulated environment within an ITIL and SSDLC framework. With experience in agile delivery, you'll confidently coach and guide teams through day-to-day operations while also leading broader transformation programmes.

You'll take accountability for outcomes, demonstrating agility, showing initiative and driving results, adapting and challenging changing priorities and helping teams embrace new ways of working. A natural leader, questioning the status quo to achieve better outcomes while maintaining a clear customer focus.

Your strong stakeholder engagement is key to influencing decisions, driving change, and ensuring effective delivery through collaboration across the business and IT.
You foster motivated, empowered teams and drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and uphold high service standards.

To join the team, you must also have:

  • Experience of leading multi-disciplinary IT development and support teams within a financial services or regulated environment such as Banking, Finance, or Insurance. (Essential)
  • Track record of successful IT Application related change and development delivery and improvements
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and secure software development frameworks
  • Significant experience of stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and good commercial awareness.
