Role Purpose
Deliver a world class roaming footprint and cost base. Interact with roaming partners and key entities (e.g. Vodafone Roaming Services (VRS), GSMA, mobile network operators) to maintain and enhance IoT's leadership position.
Key responsibilities are to work with VRS, and through other stakeholders, to optimise the Vodafone IOT commercial roaming footprint. Key objectives are:
1. To provide the best global roaming solution support to our customers through our commercial offering, maximising the ability to win business
2. Engage operator wholesale/indirect/IoT teams, to negotiate world class commercial access to markets using Local IMSI numbering ranges
3. Support the Vodafone IOT strategy on Local IMSI expansion
4. Drive cost improvements on the roaming footprint negotiations and ensure the existing customer support infrastructure (>€70m p.a. cost) is commercially optimised through roaming groups and via OTA campaigns to steer data traffic to the least cost networks.
5. Collaborate with our partners to build the world's best global IoT network including partnerships with mobile operators outside of the Vodafone footprint
6. Interact with Vodafone roaming services on behalf of Vodafone IoT including inputting into the annual VRS negotiation plan
What you'll do
• Manage and expand the IoT roaming footprint, new networks and new bearers.
• Manage commercial negotiations with 3rd parties to constantly improve the cost per GB and optimise the existing customer solutions (>€70m p.a.)
• Lead discussions for Vodafone IOT with 3rd parties in relation to Local IMSI access
• Ensure all roaming information required by the IoT commercial team to support customer bids is provided in a timely manner and is accurate
Who you are
• Extensive experience across roaming and commercial functions in the telecommunications and sector
• Commercial and Finance acumen to profitably drive both established and new differentiated services in a competitive market.
• Proven strategic thinking with the ability to operationalize and implement change from a business and people point of view
• Demonstrable record operating effectively within a diverse international environment
• Proven stakeholder management skills at a senior level
