Description
Support Investment Director in managing discretionary and advisory client portfolios and advise execution with advice clients within the client's specified investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Manage discretionary portfolios to meet the client's specified investment strategy. Make investment recommendations to Managed Advisory clients
- Provide investment advice and make transaction recommendations for Execution with Advice clients in line with their investment strategy and requirements
- Carry out ongoing, regular reviews of client portfolios to ensure they remain suitable, appropriate and remain in line with the clients' investment requirements.
- Ensure that client communications and reporting obligations, including valuations and portfolio reviews, are completed and dispatched in a timely manner
- Carry out regular meetings with clients to ensure that stated investment objectives are relevant, and ensure that the client files are updated as appropriate.
- Be a point of contact for clients in relation to their investments
- Ensure that clients are kept abreast of the impact of market developments on their portfolios
- Undertake or oversee all aspects of administration relating to clients for whom they have responsibility, ensuring that tasks are carried out to a high quality
Business Development and Marketing
- Establish and maintain strong links with intermediaries, generating and pursuing business development opportunities and progressing leads
- Generate new business from existing clients
- Engage in marketing activities and organised client functions
- Contribute to the generation of ideas for sponsorship, client functions and brand awareness
- Promote the JM Finn brand at external events and conferences
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Preferably educated to degree level
- Passed the CISI IAD or equivalent RDR compliant qualification
- Holder of the CISI Diploma, CISI Chartered Wealth Management Qualification or equivalent qualification
- Holder of a Statement of Professional Standing (SPS) and demonstrating a commitment to ongoing compliance with the obligations of an SPS Holder including meeting annual evidential CPD requirements
- Demonstrable experience of at least 4 years relevant experience
