The Role

The Fixed Income Portfolio Specialist will be responsible for servicing existing clients and building the business across a broad range of fixed income strategies across European fixed income. The role sits as part of the investment team and serves as a primary interface into internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilitie

• Be fully integrated in the investment team to understand portfolio positions, market outlook and investment themes.

• Support the engagement with sales, client services, product development, operations, marketing and other departments, to help respond to client requests and raise net new assets.

• Participate in the production of client-facing collateral including presentations, RFPs, and marketing materials.

• Help to represent the investment team with current and prospective clients.

• High quality communication (through written materials, calls and in-person meetings) with internal and external parties.

• Analyse and problem-solve complex client queries and problems as they arise in a timely manner.

• Support, train and mentor other members of the team.

Qualifications:

Skills Required

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

• Prior knowledge and relevant experience working within the fixed income markets, preferably within the asset management industry in a similar role.

• Demonstrable relationship management experience of working with cross-functional teams as well as with business development contacts, prospects and clients.

• Proven project management skills with the ability to work in a team-based culture and environment; to behave always bearing common interests and respect for fellow team members in mind.

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

• Exceptionally self-motivated and demonstrate an entrepreneurial / business development mind-set.

• High degree of dependability, independence and attention to detail.

• A problem solver with the ability to prioritise a multitude of tasks successfully, while maintaining high quality.

• Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, MS PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred skill

• Significant relevant industry experience

• Professional qualifications (eg. IMC or CFA)

• Programming skills is an advantage

• An ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is an advantage
