This role sites within TTS (Educational Resources).

TTS has proudly supported the education sector for almost 40 years. Our in-house experts collaborate with teachers and educational experts to create unique and innovative resources that engage children and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Every TTS resource provides unlimited learning opportunities and is made to last, making the most of schools' and nurseries' limited budgets and ensuring years of classroom use.

TTS is one of the largest suppliers of educational resources to international markets with significant revenue across multiple channels. We develop and source a comprehensive range of items that support educational attainment and create inspiring learning environments worldwide. We have been supplying schools and distributors globally for more than 40 years and offer over 50,000 resources of which 6,000 are own developed IP.

The International division is a key strategic driver of growth, with ambition to double revenue in the next 5 years. This will be achieved through a blended model of B2B, B2C and B2G supporting our global customer base.

The role is responsible for ensuring that growth expectations are achieved sequentially year on year in Europe, through sales to the International Schools channel only.

Responsibilities

The International Sales Manager for Europe supports the business to achieve educational outcomes and commercial growth for the region. Responsibilities include understanding the educational and commercial objectives of schools & school groups within the region, setting and monitoring commercial targets & forecasts, evaluating the impact of strategies and implementing own strategies for success, sourcing & procuring new business opportunities, driving revenue growth through school relationships, fostering a culture that values education for commercial growth, reporting on achievements, managing a portfolio of school accounts & developing relationships that lead to new accounts being onboarded.

The Sales Manager (this role does not include line management) plays a crucial role in the International Division, towards the dual objectives of educational and commercial success. Their influence lies in understanding the nuanced needs of school groups & independent schools, the development and implementation of sales strategies that merge educational and commercial interests, and in their ability to report and manage a diverse portfolio, directly contributing to the region's overall success. The role includes a large amount of travel to mainland Europe and the expectation is for multiple successful sales meetings per day to be achieved.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sales & BDM: Implement sales & marketing strategies that will bring success to the business. Source, qualify & close new schools across Europe, whilst maintaining relationships & growing the Share of wallet of existing customers.
  • In-Market Conferences & Exhibitions: Participating at conferences & exhibitions across Europe, promoting our brand & securing leads & new business opportunities.
  • Strategy Alignment: Understand and meet educational and commercial goals. Ensure we are working in the most efficient and effective manner; build solid Go To Market Strategies; Review & Decide on best in-market conferences & exhibitions to run; and feedback internally to ensure that our overall divisional go-to-market strategy is aligned for success.
  • Setting and Monitoring Commercial Targets: Establishing and tracking financial goals & sales targets in line with territory plans. Ensuring forecasting for the region is monitored and reported accurately, internally.
  • Developing & Implementing Sales & Marketing Strategies: Creating programs and strategies that integrate educational value with commercial success; ensuring TTS is at the forefront of all customer minds through innovative marketing and sales approaches.
  • Cultural Development: Cultivating a culture that values education as a driver for commercial growth.

The role and its responsibilities can be expected to evolve across time. This is a UK based role which will involve circa 12 weeks travel to mainland Europe per year.

Experience

You will have proven experience of:

  • Successful sales & business development experience. Preferably in the Education sector.
  • A self-driven & ambitious attitude towards growing & developing business in a fast paced sales environment; with the ability to independently drive forwards ambitious plans to achieve growth.
  • Experience in achieving financial targets in a business environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and motivational skills.

You will be responsible for:

  • Circa 100+ accounts and agreements
  • A market that covers 2,000 International Schools and Nursery settings.
