Who we're looking for
We are seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager to help deliver a world-class internal communications agenda for Schroders. As the main point of contact for day-to-day internal communications, you'll play a key role in crafting clear, impactful and engaging messages that reach a diverse, global employee base.
You'll act as a trusted adviser to business stakeholders and support the Head of Internal Communications with strategy, planning, execution and analysis, ensuring that messaging is consistent and timely across all touchpoints.
As well as supporting key corporate initiatives and transformation programmes, you'll harness new technologies-such as AI-driven tools and platforms-to deliver and measure innovative communication solutions that increase engagement, efficiency and understanding across the Group.
About Schroders
We're a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.
We have around 6,000 people on six continents. And we've been around for over 200 years but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn't change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.
The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.
The team
Our Internal Communications team acts as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business and provides advice from designing communications strategies for major change programmes, to delivering high-quality engagement initiatives.
You'll be working as part of a global team of internal communications experts responsible for advising, developing and executing communications that support operational activities.
What you'll do
- Strategy delivery: Support the Head of Internal Communications to execute the global internal communications strategy, ensuring all activity reflects Schroders' values and business objectives.
- Planning and prioritisation: Develop and maintain the day-to-day internal communications plan and calendar, collaborating with business and functional stakeholders to focus messaging where it matters most.
- Channel management and content creation: Draft, edit and deliver high-quality content-such as articles, announcements, town hall materials and leadership Q&As-across digital and traditional channels, including Teams, the intranet, email and video.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across HR, Technology, the Transformation Office, and other business areas to deliver communications for priority events, including results days, business updates, and organisation-wide change initiatives.
- AI and innovation: Champion the adoption of new technologies, particularly AI-powered content tools and analytics, to improve communication reach, relevance, and personalisation. Proactively explore automation to drive engagement and measure impact.
- Insight-led improvement: Gather and interpret employee feedback, analytics, data and insights to continuously enhance the effectiveness and impact of internal communications.
- Stakeholder support: Assist the Head of Internal Communications and senior leaders in preparing for key internal engagements, from developing messaging to coordinating logistics.
- Best practice advisory: Advise stakeholders on effective internal communication strategies and escalate key risks or opportunities to the Head of Internal Communications.

This will be a full-time role. The successful candidate will be a confident and engaging communicator who demonstrates:
- Substantial experience (typically 5+ years) in internal communications, ideally within financial services or other regulated, complex organisations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a natural flair for translating complex information into engaging content
