Internal Communications Manager (18 month FTC)

As our Internal Communications Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how ITG communicates with and engages its global teams. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you'll work closely with key departments, including People, Marketing, and Central Services, to deliver impactful and inspiring communications that keep our employees informed, engaged, and excited about ITG's journey.
This standalone role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and autonomy. From crafting compelling groupwide emails and bi-weekly newsletters to coordinating executive updates and supporting virtual and in-person events, you'll be at the heart of ITG's internal messaging. You'll also play a key role in maintaining our company intranet and ensuring ITG's distinctive tone of voice shines through every communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal communications: Plan, write, and design content primarily for ITG's internal email communications, ensuring alignment with ITG's strategic goals and tone of voice.
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with the Chief People Officer, senior leaders, and wider teams to create an integrated communications plan that drives awareness, engagement, and alignment with ITG's vision.
- Engage a global audience: Help our global workforce - whether office-based, hybrid, or remote - feel connected to each other and ITG's mission, initiatives, and values. Tailor messaging to resonate with diverse, international audiences.
- Drive key events: Organise and deliver impactful internal events, including monthly CEO videocasts, quarterly 'Be Inspired' town halls, and support on celebrations like Founder's Day and seasonal parties.
- Champion employee experience: Participate in ITG's Champion programmes (e.g., Engagement and Diversity), monitoring employee sentiment and shaping communications that reflect and amplify the company's culture and priorities.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing internal communications in a similar environment.
- Exceptional copywriting skills, coupled with a creative eye and experience in design tools like Canva, InDesign, or Photoshop.
- Keen attention to detail, editing, and quality control.
- Advanced organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A self-starter who is confident in the individual ownership and delivery of projects, whilst able to collaborate with diverse teams across the business.
