About the role:
This position is a 6-month contract and both part-time and full-time applicants will be considered.
The position will deliver an excellent quality careers provision for our undergraduate students and will provide strategic input into our Careers provision for a growing cohort who are entering a fast-changing workplace. The postholder will consider what a forward-thinking, scalable provision can be, what digitalisation can mean in a careers function and how to evolve a high-quality provision to continue its inclusive approach and further engagement.
The position will engage with students, offering high-quality advice and guidance through 1:1 guidance, small group sessions, and large workshops and will be responsible for the creation of materials, signposting to opportunities and further access to the provision and the delivery of high-quality materials.
In addition, our Lead Careers Consultants strive for the progression of Career Education in our student learning journey, and this position will liaise with and support academic colleagues as we move to embed careers within the curriculum and evolve the provision to be present throughout every student's journey.
This position suits someone who is passionate about preparing and supporting young people for the world of work and all this entails and can work across multiple student groups and demographics with equality and quality being forefront of their provision.
