Interim Finance & Payroll Senior Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Interim Finance and Payroll Senior Manager to join our team. This key role ensures the accurate and efficient running of payroll while driving improvements and cost-effective solutions. You will also be responsible for generating first-draft management accounts, maintaining cash flow, and supporting the Director of Finance & IT in enhancing payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the accurate processing of payroll each month.
- Identify and implement improvements to payroll systems and procedures.
- Prepare first-draft management accounts, including profit & loss reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain and manage cash flow effectively.
- Lead and develop the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, providing supervision, appraisals, and mentorship.
- Work closely with budget holders to provide accurate, timely financial information.
- Collaborate with senior finance leaders to ensure the department delivers a five-star service.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with:
- Proven experience in payroll management and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of cash flow management and reconciliations.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate a finance team.
- A strategic mindset, capable of driving efficiencies and improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
