We are looking to recruit an experienced interface development lead with a keen interest in digital healthcare. The successful candidates join an experienced and diverse team of analysts who support UCLH's digital infrastructure.

To help us to achieve this vision, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our EHR team.
This is an exciting time to join our team, with significant growth planned for the department. UCLH will be supporting the implementation of Epic for another NHS Trust. We are recruiting for a dedicated Interface development team focussed on building application interfaces for this project, working in close partnership with our existing Interface team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead a small, dedicated interface development team to design, develop, test, implement and support interfaces between EHRS and other clinical and non-clinical applications within the scope of the project.
Working alongside the pre-existing Interface Team, the post holder will ensure interface development adheres to existing standards, consistent with existing code and utilises established communication protocols.
Providing effective project reporting, making sound technical design decisions and managing effective relationship with relevant stakeholders will be vital for the success for this programme.

Person specification

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Higher professional technical or management degree at Master's Level or equivalent (or in exceptional circumstances - able to demonstrate significant level of equivalent of experience).
• Interface development qualification or equivalent experience.
• Highly specialist knowledge across a wide range of subject areas relating to interfaces and digital services, including Epic Bridges certification.

Desirable criteria

• Prince2 and/or MSP equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria

• Extensive relevant interface management or improvement experience, with a track record of delivery.
• Experience of designing and executing multiple interface solutions while also developing and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Experience of leading and managing a team, with excellent coaching skills.
