Intercompany Accountant

The Role

The team..

The Record to Report (RTR) Intercompany team is the financial glue that connects ITV's global footprint. Sitting within our dynamic Finance Operations hub, we are responsible for ensuring that all intercompany transactions across ITV's global family of brands are perfectly recorded, reconciled, and aligned. Our mission is vital: we safeguard the integrity of ITV's Group Financial Statements by ensuring balances between our diverse entities are flawless.

We operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and energised environment, partnering closely with Treasury, global business units, and wider Finance Operations to resolve and prevent discrepancies, automate processes, and drive efficiencies as part of ITV's exciting, ongoing digital finance transformation.

With the changes we are undergoing as a business, the Intercompany team is vital in supporting that transformation and ensuring internal transactions are accounted for accurately and efficiently.

The role..

We're looking for a proactive, problem-solving RTR Intercompany Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the RTR Intercompany Manager, you will be the driving force behind our global balances, ensuring everything reconciles, matches, and flows seamlessly.

This isn't just about posting numbers-it's about problem solving and building great relationships across the business. You will dive deep into entity differences, power our month-end close, and help improve intercompany processes and system automation.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Processing precise intercompany journals within Oracle Fusion, ensuring absolute compliance with global policies and controls.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances and resolving variances, using ARCS (Account Reconciliation Cloud Service) tool.
  • Acting as the go-to bridge between various business units, collaborating directly with teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Supporting the agreement and strategic settlement of intercompany balances across the entire ITV Group.
  • Ensuring robust compliance with intercompany accounting policies and regional tax/VAT guidelines.
  • Identifying process bottlenecks and designing automated solutions to reduce manual errors and work smarter.
  • Supporting business audit activities by delivering clear documentation and explanations.
  • Participating in system testing and championing continuous improvement initiatives across our forward-thinking RTR team.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience
  • Proven intercompany accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Experience using accounting systems (Oracle Fusion or similar ERP preferred)

Desirable

  • Experience working within a transactional service centre with high volume and complex inter-company transactions
  • Experience working in a Record to Report team through a digital transformation
  • Experienced in problem-solving with innovative solutions

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly under tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator, able to work with stakeholders across different teams and locations
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset with a focus on resolving issues and improving processes
  • Comfortable working through change and supporting digital transformation initiatives
  • Resilient and able to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships
  • Interest in automation and improving efficiency within finance processes

Please note, on occasion we may receive a very large volume of applications which means applications for a role may close earlier than the referenced closing date. We'd encourage you to apply as soon as possible if interested.
