THE POSITION

As Insurer Relations Manager at Acturis, you will:

  • Own and implement the strategy for Insurer & MGA Account Management with this covering Commercial and Personal Lines, UK and International across the Acturis Platform business
  • Identify Sales opportunities in both existing and prospective insurer and MGA relationships
  • Directly own and be involved in a number of tier 1 and tier 2 relationships in a combination of "Account Manager" and "Account Director" roles
  • Development and run a small high performing team of dedicated Insurer Relations Managers who will act in a combined Sales and Account Management role, targeting both new business and cross sell opportunities
  • Work closely with the Head of Insurance Products, Chief Customer Officer and Chief International Development Officer and Insurance Product owners
  • Have a dotted line from the project managers / product owners who own the "Account Support" role
  • Be responsible not just for maintaining the existing relationships but identifying and progressing opportunities for further growth and penetration
  • Be responsible for negotiating new deals including commercial and contractual arrangements working in conjunction with the Head of Insurance Products, CCO, CDIO and CEO
  • Be responsible for working across the verticals to ensure we deliver great service to our insurer customers
  • Be responsible for managing escalation processes within Insurer relationships
  • Work closely with Head of Broker Account management to align strategy and processes across all partners and customers
  • Produce regular relationship reporting - RAG report based on tiers
  • Produce monthly Operation Executive Committee content relating to Insurer relations
  • Maintain performance monitoring against financial targets and other KPIs

The role will:

  • Report to the CCO
  • Have financial Sales and revenue targets (combination of value of new / additional services)
  • Require an established database of contacts and relationships within the market

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidates will have the following attributes:

  • Customer focussed with an ability to build relationships
  • Have established contacts and reputation within the market with Insurers and MGAs
  • Confident & eager to take responsibility
  • Proactively manages their workload and meeting schedule
  • Experience of managing and mentoring a small team of highly skilled individuals
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • A good commercial and legal understanding
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with a "can do" attitude
  • Logical approach to providing multiple solutions to client issues.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to functionality changes and new concepts
  • Computer capable MS Office programs
  • Recent experience of the Acturis system
  • Prepared to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas
  • Full clean valid driving licence preferable
