This role is central to the leadership and development of the Insolvency team, balancing operational management, technical oversight, and strategic input. Reporting to the Insolvency Partner, the role ensures high standards across case management, compliance, staff development, and client service. It also plays a key part in business development and the department's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, support, and develop the insolvency team through effective supervision, feedback, and training.
Oversee the allocation and progression of cases, ensuring quality, compliance, and steady workflow.
Maintain and improve systems, templates, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
Handle complex or high-value cases within your own caseload, setting an example in technical excellence.
Support the Insolvency Partner with business development, billing, client meetings, and strategic planning.
Ensure the department remains compliant and technically up to date, responding proactively to legislative changes.
The Person:
Strong team leadership skills with a focus on development and performance.
In-depth knowledge of insolvency procedures and relevant legislation.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal abilities.
Commercially minded with an understanding of profitability and billing.
Professionally qualified or with equivalent insolvency experience (e.g. CPI, JIEB).
