Distribution Channel Manager,Powerwall

The Role
Tesla is seeking a Distribution Channel Manager for residential energy sales in the UK. Your core responsibility is B2B sales of Tesla residential and small commercial energy products in the UK to our network of certified installers. You will develop, maintain and grow a productive network of customers in conjunction with our 3rd party distribution partner(s).

This is a multi-faceted role where you are expected to have knowledge of the product and market for energy storage, along with great interpersonal communication. Our team is highly collaborative, creative, passionate and have a shared desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting technology and market landscape. You will be the face of Tesla Energy to these customers, both in virtual and in-person engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve ambitious growth plans for Powerwall sales within the assigned distributor channel(s) in the UK
  • Recruit new installers and provide them with a first class onboarding experience
  • Provide sales training and coordinate technical training for new installers
  • Help active installers grow their share of Tesla products
  • Drive development of training materials needed, together with the local sales and engineering teams
  • Provide input on the development of dedicated marketing/sales material needed for your accounts' success
  • Maintain a detailed overview of the network of installers within the assigned channel, including commercial KPIs; apply data driven segmentation to identify where installers are in their life cycle with Tesla products and what attention these installers need
  • Organize and coordinate all virtual and in person recruiting, onboarding, training and growth acceleration events for the assigned channel
  • Build out and maintain a set of (regular cadence) webinars and virtual training series
  • Organize and lead in-person training events (e.g. roadshow)
  • Work closely with the UK residential engineering team to coordinate the technical aspects of the trainings
  • Provide key market insights into broader business team
  • Support the UK sales manager with provide high fidelity sales forecasts for the assigned channel(s)
  • Identify key accounts and collaborate with our external account managers to formulate sales strategies
  • Represent Tesla at sales and marketing events promoting Powerwall products

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in sales in a relevant field
  • Working knowledge of grid/utility markets, as well as grid-tied technologies, such as PV, wind, EE, DR or storage as it relates to residential and small commercial applications
  • Effective phone communication and confident presentation skills in front of an audience
  • Ability to prioritize work and execute several projects and tasks in parallel
  • Fluency in English
