Context/Scope

Whether we're streamlining the global Innovation Project and Portfolio Management process (Accelerate360) or scaling breakthrough innovation through our Ignite process, we're constantly evolving how we create and launch innovation at speed and scale.
This role sits at the heart of that transformation. As Innovation Transformation Product Manager, you will own and advance the core digital products that underpin our global innovation capability-enabling teams to work smarter, move faster, and make better decisions.
You'll partner closely with our global innovation community, as well as leaders in Finance, Supply, R&D, Commercial, Planning, Procurement, and Technology, acting as the 'fulcrum point' between operational excellence and strategic ambition.
Accountabilities
Own and Optimise the Core Innovation Technology Stack
- Lead and manage the suite of products that underpin the core innovation process, including Planview (planning project delivery & portfolio management), Wegrow (post launch learning), and other evolving capabilities in between.
- Act as a trusted reference point for innovators-monitoring usage, troubleshooting where needed, and ensuring smooth operations across tools and platforms.
- Lead backend coordination to keep these tools aligned to process evolution-delivering critical updates, enhancements, and user migration support seamlessly.
- Define, own relationships with, and track service providers to ensure they deliver services to agreed SLA's and quality levels that support innovation outcomes.
Shape and Deliver the Global Product Roadmap
- Co-create the vision for innovation technology enablement with the Global Head of Innovation Transformation and key global stakeholders, leveraging deep understanding of user needs across the Innovation community.
- Develop and deliver a strategic product roadmap that unlocks value for Diageo's innovation community-including new enablers, next-gen tools, and enhanced data management that will improve how we track Innovation performance.
- This includes co-leading the AI in Innovation Workstream - scoping and delivering pilots as well as scaling successful opportunities to embed AI across the innovation process, delivering both effectiveness and efficiency.
- Create, prioritize, and manage the backlog from the Total Global Product Roadmap across multiple product solutions.
- Translate team needs into robust product strategies, detailed well written requirements, and agency/vendor briefs that drive clarity and action.
Lead Product Delivery Teams to Scale and Embed Products Globally
- Handle & motivate cross-functional delivery teams (including agency partners, vendors, & internal teams) to deliver well-crafted, scalable solutions.
- Apply agile methodologies to accelerate development and build for adoption across diverse markets and user groups.
- Establish training and adoption programs for products to be delivered as well as set and track KPIs to ensure value gets realised.
Drive Community Engagement and Strategic Communication
- Be the central voice on product capability and future enhancements through engagement channels and interactions with regional, market, and supply innovation teams around the world.
- Maintain & curate systems to ensure users can easily find the tools, information, & inspiration needed to deliver impact in their day-to-day work.
About You
You are a strategic product leader with deep empathy for users and a bias for action. You see technology not just as a tool, but as an enabler of cultural and behavioural change across a global organisation. You combine the long view with a sharp operational instinct-balancing product vision with meticulous delivery.
You will bring:
- Confirmed product management experience with enterprise systems or internal platforms, ideally in a global or matrixed business environment.
- A strong grasp of product strategy, backlog management, and agile delivery models.
- Fluency in translating business needs into technical requirements and coordinating across tech and non-tech stakeholders.
- An instinct for data-informed decision-making, with comfort developing and tracking product KPIs and adoption metrics.
- A track record of influence-leading through complexity, and building trust across diverse teams and senior leaders.
- Curiosity and drive to explore and embed next-generation tools (including AI/ML) into real-world business processes.
Dimensions
Financial:You will manage key vendor and delivery partner contracts, budgets, and performance - influencing platform investments and operating models.
Market Complexity:This is a global role, supporting the end-to-end innovation process across all regions, with stakeholders in Innovation, D&T, Finance, Supply, Commercial, R&D, and Marketing. You will need to balance consistency of platform delivery with local context and business requirements.
