Job Description

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the project are defined so that the intended outcomes can be achieved. This role is crucial in providing clarity to key milestones within the project lifecycle, and the planning of activities, ensuring they are achievable against timelines and budget

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan with key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Track progress, report status updates, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external teams (IT, Security, Business Units) to ensure smooth execution of remediation plans.
  • Work with external vendors to facilitate support agreements, licensing changes, and hardware/software replacements.
  • Ensure alignment with business continuity and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and monitor project risks and issues, develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate,
  • Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders,
  • Build Project Plan and apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives. Track and report delivery against milestones.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

  • Have experience in working to deliver either complex or high-risk projects within agreed time, cost and quality constraints.
  • Be experienced, credible & proactive in dealing with a broad and complex range of stakeholders, with the confidence to engage with senior officials.
  • Be used to operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Have practical experience in actively managing project risks.
  • Be comfortable networking throughout the business, challenging and influencing decision making when required.
  • Be able to communicate the objectives of the project and be familiar with the key stages in a project lifecycle from the development of an agreed vision through to project closure. You will be an advocate of identifying lessons and sharing best practice.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Ability to lead despite ambiguity and uncertainty in a large organisation.
  • A recognised accreditation in professional project management is desirable but not essential, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM Project Management Practitioner Qualification.

Additional Information

  • Must be reliable and flexible.
  • Hours of work will be between 08:00 - 18:00, with an 8-hour working day staggered across the 10-hour timeframe.

  • Must be able to attain a UK Security Clearance
