Infrastructure CCTV Engineer (Onsite)

We are looking for a confident, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Onsite Server Engineer. Our engineers are highly knowledgeable and always prepared to get stuck in, providing on-call hands and feet support for a variety of IT hardware and software requests - no two days will look the same for our engineers! Your role

  • Inventory management of hardware alongside maintenance of server hardware, blades, and DA storage, cooperating with vendors to issue parts
  • End-to-end support for CCTV chassis and RAID storage, application support for Genetec software for CCTV systems, Escort third parties around the premises when required
  • Monitor and action ServiceNow incidents, managing and fixing CCTV incidents that are in the ServiceNow queue assigned to the department
  • Travel to the office during non-business hours and provide on-call support
  • Monitor HPSIM, analysing alerts, and raise incidents where necessary, Provide hand and feet support in the data centre for the remote operations team

Your skills and experience

  • A good understanding of IT hardware (server memory, disk, battery, etc.)
  • Must hold a UK driving license
  • Demonstratable knowledge of HP EVA/XP/3Par and experience working with Genetec software is desired
  • Experience working with Windows Server 2003-2019, Confident, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with a minimum level of supervision, meeting tight deadlines
  • A working knowledge and experience with ServiceNow, the Ability to work in a team, and good communication skills are also desired

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.

Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
