Information Security Manager

Introduction

The Information Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing the security of our organization's information systems and data. The role will plan, implement, and monitor security policies and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's data and systems. They also build and manage the security incident response team and coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations at global scale.

Job Description

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the corporate organization's (and divisional entities) information systems and data
• Manage the security team and provide guidance, training, and supervision to security staff
• Monitor and evaluate the security performance and effectiveness of the organization's systems and networks
• Identify and respond to security incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities
• Conduct security audits, assessments, and perimeter testing to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
• Recommend and implement security solutions, tools, and best practices to enhance the security posture of the organization
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders on security issues and initiatives
• Assist in completing RFP's, RFQ's and Insurance questionaires
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or related field
• Certification in information security such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
• Experience working with GDPR compliance and ISO27001 and 27701, SOC2 Types 1 and 2, HIPAA.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, frameworks, standards, and best practices
• Proficient in security technologies, tools, and systems such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, EDR's, MDR's, VPN, SIEM, etc.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
