The Transpennine Route Upgrade Project (TRU) is a circa £2b multi-disciplinary project upgrading the existing railway route between Manchester and Leeds through the Pennines. It is the largest rail and infrastructure project in the north of England over the next 5 years.

Working on the TransPennine route Upgrade, the purpose of the role is to manage the SharePoint based centralised intranet site and the deployment of SharePoint document libraries across multiple teams .

Your mission

  • Intranet Management - Engage with content owners and Alliance stakeholders to comprehend and collect their requirements.
  • Intranet Management - Design, build, and test SharePoint sites/pages in alignment with the provided requirements and agreed standards.
  • Document Management - Engage with teams to gather requirements and deploy document libraries with folder and permission structures.
  • Document Management - Work with stakeholders to manage the smooth migration of data from other SharePoint repositories.
  • Support - Assist end-users by addressing issues, implementing changes, and ensuring seamless operation of existing SharePoint solutions
  • Support - Manage SharePoint permissions
  • Continuous Improvement - Ensure all SharePoint solutions are kept up to date in terms of design and content, proactively identifying and implementing improvements where required.
  • Stakeholder Management - Working closely with colleagues from Information Management, Communications & Business Systems to ensure stakeholder requirements are fulfilled.
  • Stakeholder Management - Facilitate regular touch points with various functions/departments to maintain engagement and content

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3-years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to rapidly develop robust relationships across all key stakeholders.
  • Required to have a strong understanding and experience using SharePoint online, including development of an intranet site and use of document libraries as data repositories.
  • Experience with data migrations, either manually or using ShareGate
  • Experience with utilising Microsoft Forms, PowerAutomate, PowerBi and SharePoint List solutions and integrate these within SharePoint sites
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing construction project environment
  • Must be highly organised with a scheduled approach to development, review and reporting
