TUI Group is recruiting a Product Development Manager to be part of a world-class team to manage new projects and integrate innovation into the onboard product proposition, across all TUI Group airlines. The role focuses on solving operational and customer-focused opportunities whilst partnering with internal functions, appropriate procurement teams and others to roll out solutions.

The role will require management oversight and has responsibility for building strategic relationships to design and implement new projects and change programmes across the business aligned with the customer experience roadmap.

**This role can be based in Luton, Hanover, Stockholm, Rijswijk or Brussels and offers flexible virtual working arrangements.**

** This position is offered on a maternity cover basis until April 2025.**

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Product Development Manager you will ensure management of strategic product development projects with focus of cost management, group alignment and improving onboard customer experience key performance indicators. You will collaborate and support projects that are both revenue and non-revenue project concepts to meet airline specifications, which are sustainable and aligned with the overall inflight service product strategy. The role requires the Product Development Manager to anticipate future trends and plan for consequences and changes.

You will need to understand the TUI customers across the various source markets, as well as the operational complexities to support the ancillaries and inflight retail programmes to maximise revenue, margin and customer satisfaction.

You will develop and maintain strong relationships with internal TUI teams including supply chain operational teams, customer experience, crew service delivery, procurement, and finance teams. Working with all these teams to develop proactive proposals and recommendations for continuous improvement.

The role will require managing a number of relevant projects with focus on alignment across all airlines as well as detailed analysis and evaluation of any new launches or changes. You will also coordinate the seasonal change program for onboard initiatives across different internal teams, to ensure they are delivering according to plan or manage any deviations in regards to timing, cost and scope.

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant experience, preferably within airline catering, product development or airline customer proposition.
  • Proven commercial acumen is essential to this role and budget management is desirable.
  • Proven track record of planning and implementing project actions plans.
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Resilience for ambiguity and process change.
  • Ability to identify and anticipate customer needs and market developments.
  • Uses data to generate insight; understands the benefit of data to manage, improve and change the business.
  • Strong business English is mandatory and fluency in other European languages is highly advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel, when required, mainly but not limited to the UK, Nordics, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands.
