As an Industrial Relations Manager at Hinkley Point C for BAM Nuttall, your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage employee relations across the site, fostering a positive culture and proactively mitigating any potential industrial disputes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant employment regulations, providing support and information to address workforce issues.

Your mission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work diligently to prevent and minimize potential industrial disputes, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Ensure the site's adherence to all applicable employment regulations and standards, keeping abreast of changes and advising on necessary adjustments.
  • Provide timely and effective support for any potential workforce issues, facilitating engagement and communication with relevant parties to address concerns promptly.
  • Utilize your experience in dealing with Unions to maintain positive relationships, ensuring open communication and cooperation.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a collaborative nature, promoting a culture of teamwork and effective communication.

Who are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • CIPD qualification with a background in HR or Industrial Relations management.
  • Experience working under Collective Agreements - specifically Working Rule Agreement
  • Proven experience in managing Industrial Relations issues, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of employment regulations and standards.
  • Experience working with Unions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
