Indirect Tax Assistant Manager

Kennedys is looking for a Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to join our in house Tax team based in London.
This role will encompass indirect tax advisory, compliance, and process improvement. The appointed candidate will act as the primary point of contact for global VAT and indirect tax matters, supporting both business services teams and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the completion of all Global VAT compliance obligations including but not limited to the UK, EMEA and LATAM regions
- Provide clear, practical advice on UK and international VAT issues.
- Liaise with our offshore in house finance teams and external accountants for the completion of the UK and international Tax compliance
- Be responsible for the implementation and management of VAT policies, processes and guidance notes that will be relied upon by the financial operations teams.
- Work with Finance and Financial systems teams to improve the accuracy and control of VAT within billing and finance systems (Elite 3E and Emburse)
Required Experience
- Strong knowledge of UK VAT compliance, including the preparation, review and oversight of all statutory returns.
- Experience of advising on UK and International VAT preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- CTA/ATT/ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience
- Strong attention to detail and discipline in managing your own workload
- Strong understanding and practical use of Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes
- Familiarity with Elite 3E whilst not essential would be beneficial to the role
