- As an experienced professional with deep technical knowledge, you'll deliver the inclusion, diversity and wellbeing agenda forward engaging, guiding and upskilling colleagues, including senior stakeholders to ensure we reflect the society in which we operate and we create an inclusive environment that enables people to make meaningful contributions by being themselves. Collaboration will be key; you'll work with a broad range of stakeholders to integrate the strategy into the broader business.
- To be effective in this role you will be an impactful individual who possesses extensive stakeholder management skills, and who strives for the best possible outcome. You'll have an analytical mindset combined with the ability to use data to drive decisions, and an understanding of ESG principles are also important.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of Dentons inclusion and wellbeing (I&W) strategy (with the support of Advisors and an Assistant for implementation).
- Support our senior leaders to build a more inclusive culture by offering expertise and guidance, and providing appropriate challenge, and help to improve their understanding and confidence around inclusion and wellbeing.
- Create and implement awareness and education that focuses on an inclusive culture and fostering good wellbeing.
- Partner with the HR team to evolve our people processes embedding core inclusion, diversity and wellbeing approaches. Work with HR colleagues to review and/or develop new policies, toolkits and procedures.
- Act as a subject matter expert advising HR and senior leadership on inclusion and diversity best practice.
- Oversee and work closely with the inclusion networks to deliver the I&W strategy. Review and implement improvements to structures and governance as required.
- Deliver a high-quality data led approach to measure progress and impact, and to inform the overall approach and communicate priorities.
- Work towards actively achieving external benchmarks, awards and standards.
- Manage and develop relationships with external organisations and networks to ensure we are implementing the latest best-practice.
- Take ownership of client requests to collaborate on I&W programmes. Work with the Marketing & Business Development team to identify where we can leverage I&W to strengthen client relationships.
- Partner with colleagues in our global inclusion & diversity community, representing the region and being a proactive member of that community. Implement global initiatives in the region.
- Work with the Head of Responsible Business and wider team to raise awareness of the firm wide responsible business programme as a whole, collaborating on wider team projects when a one-team approach is needed to maximise impact.
Required experience, skills, and attributes
- Proven experience in developing, embedding and evaluating inclusion, diversity and wellbeing strategies and impactful programs within a business operating across multiple countries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices, as well as employee wellbeing frameworks.
- Ability to implement the strategic vision through operational focus and deliver it through hands-on management, inviting constructive challenge and working closely with others across the business.
- Good listening and communication skills; experience presenting to, training and engaging audiences and facilitating dialogue at all levels.
- Influence to drive cultural and behaviour change and results to further advance I&W.
- Experienced in monitoring, analysing, and presenting data and using related insights to identify and deliver opportunities for change.
- Knowledge of the regulatory/statutory requirements related to I&W.
- Willing to challenge the status quo, always looking for ways we can do better, bringing analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and is comfortable navigating uncertainty.
- Both a strong team player, whilst also able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Ability to work in a complex - sometimes difficult - fast-paced environment and being comfortable with change, managing time effectively, remaining flexible and taking initiative during busy times to ensure a quick turnaround.
- You will be commercially astute with a broad business understanding.
- Ability to coordinate changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.
- You will be data literate and understand how to monitor KPIs and measure performance against targets.
- Experience of bringing projects in on budget and on time.
