Our Pensions Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for an experienced Implementation Manager to join our vibrant Reading office with hybrid/remote working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a similar technical role where they have gained experience of leading a team, and experience of working within an administration team as a uder, or a system support position within the pensions industry.

The Role
As an Implementation Manager you will be working closely with the BSG management group to achieve the company objectives, and line managing a diverse group of subject matter experts as part of the larger Data and Calculations team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Line Management
- Day to day line management of a team of staff within the Data and Calculations team
- Ownership of Team Workstreams
- Automation configuration and coding across multiple platforms

- Ownership of key relationships with internal and external parties
- Review of an area of team processes and audit requirements.
- Existing clients
- Ongoing technical support of data and automation installed on our administration systems, as well as the setup of new processes not included in the scheme migration.
- Review of an area of team processes and audit requirements.
- Advancement of administration systems and toolsets
- Act as a subject matter expert on the specific administration platforms and tools, but also the implementation of technology in general.
- New Business Activity
- Consultancy on solution options for our client, and should it be required, to contribute directly to the successful project outcomes.
- Attend wider business forums to discuss our new business pipeline in its full commercial context and attend client meetings if needed.
Your profile
Essential Criteria
- Experience in the leadership of a team
- Proven experience of working within an administration team as a user, or a system support position in the pensions industry is required.
- IT proficient, with an emphasis on using Excel.
- Proficient knowledge in benefit structures and calculation requirements for DB, DC and Hybrid pension schemes.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working with common pension administration systems and third-party IT suppliers is desirable e.g. PenScope, Compendia, ProFund.
- Understanding of programming languages such as Visual Basic is not required but may be beneficial.
