As the Process Manager for the Impairment Team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of key processes that underpin our impairment strategy. You'll bridge the gap between our team, finance, and external auditors, coordinating efforts and driving initiatives to deliver exceptional results.

Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a robust control environment and will play a key role in facilitating effective communication and action management among the Impairment Team, Finance, 2LOD, and external audit partners here at NewDay.

0-12 months you'll deliver

Facilitation and Coordination:

  • Coordinate interactions and action management between the Impairment Team, Finance, 2LOD, and external audit partners.
  • Maintain a roadmap of prioritised initiatives to deliver credit business impairment numbers.
  • Support the Impairment Team in completing actions arising from internal and external audits or reviews.

Process Knowledge and Support:

  • Obtain and maintain a strong understanding of key operational and data processes that feed into impairment processes and models.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for changes to processes impacting the Impairment Team/Credit Management.
  • Assist the Impairment Team in maintaining a robust control environment, ensuring evidence of controls is always audit-ready.

Risk and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, risk mitigation, and control enhancement.
  • Regularly review and update process artifacts and content to ensure they are up-to-date, accurate, clear, and audit-ready.

What you'll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • Experience of understanding and translating technical processes into easy to digest process documentation
  • Experience of developing & maintaining robust governance approaches
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies

And would love you to know or learn:

  • Knowledge of credit risk management and impairment processes
