H&S Manager

Due to continued growth and recent contract awards the opportunity has arisen for an experienced H&S Manager to join our team in London.

Reporting to the Project Director and SHEQ Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of H&S services on site, they must comply with internal processes as well as the latest issue of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.

The key responsibilities are:

• To conduct themselves in a proactive manner
• Ensure that Mivan policies & procedures are implemented
• Liaise with client H&S Manager and others in the client team
• Chair internal site H&S meetings
• Attend client H&S meetings
• Support site team on all H&S aspects
• Review safe systems of work
• Attend and advise during safe start meetings
• Conduct safety stand downs and tool box talks
• Manage day to day H&S activities on site
• Conduct workplace inspections and report findings
• Conduct investigations in to accidents or incidents and report on findings
• Manage on site occupational health
• Coordinate training of project staff
• Contribute to the maintenance of ISO 45001

Candidates must have a proven track record within the construction industry in a H&S role and a recognised qualification in a relevant discipline. Previous experience of interior fit-out projects is preferable.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to plan and stay one-step ahead and be self-motivated and adaptable. Candidates should be client focused, with sound commercial acumen and the ability to deliver results within deadlines.
