Job Description
Sherwin-Williams is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Shared Services Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality HR operational services across the UK & Ireland and the Netherlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and elevate our HR service delivery model, drive continuous improvement, and lead a committed HRSS team during an exciting time of transformation.
In this key leadership position, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle HR administration, ensuring services are accurate, efficient, compliant, and delivered within SLAs. You'll partner closely with HRBPs, Centres of Excellence, and business leaders to deliver exceptional service while championing new digital ways of working.
You will also play a leading role in harmonising and administering Company pension and benefit schemes, supporting global reward initiatives, and acting as a key link between internal teams and external vendors. As our model evolves, you'll shape the transition toward a first-point-of-contact approach for employee queries.
Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the HRSS team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of employee lifecycle processes, HR system updates, and data for payroll.
- Deliver high-quality HR administrative services aligned with KPIs, SLAs, and customer service expectations.
- Guide employees and managers on HR policies and procedures; escalate complex queries as appropriate.
- Partner with HR stakeholders to drive adoption of a first-point-of-contact service model.
- Champion HRSS participation in business projects across the UKI & Netherlands, supporting scope expansion and service migration activities.
- Oversee the management, administration, and implementation of Company pension and benefit schemes in partnership with the Global Benefits CoE and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, data protection regulations, and internal controls.
- Lead regular HR system audits, data cleansing, and improvements to maintain high data integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement, digitalisation, and process optimisation using LEAN methodologies.
- Manage HRSS SOPs, process documentation, and user guidance to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Build strong relationships with HR Directors, Country HR teams, and business leaders through regular service reviews and ongoing collaboration.
- Support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives across the region.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HR, Payroll, or Business-related field preferred).
- 3+ years' experience in HR Shared Services or a similar operational HR environment.
- Experience managing pension & benefit scheme administration.
- People leadership experience, with ability to coach, support, and develop a team.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation affecting HR operations.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information and maintain high ethical standards.
- Experience working with KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Skills & Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Experience working with HR systems (e.g., Oracle, ServiceNow, OnBase, HR Cloud).
- Strong organisational, planning, and analytical skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Full professional proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are an advantage.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UKI and NL as required.
