HR Payroll Lead

The Role
Tesla is seeking an HR Payroll Lead to join our growing HR Operations team in London. The role will have a strong focus on both operational delivery and effective team management, ensuring outstanding levels of service to our internal customers and supporting the ongoing development of our services.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team working on and supporting key Payroll processes such as preparing input for the Payroll vendor, optimizing and securing Payroll processes whilst providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
• Oversee and manage end-to-end Payroll operations for multiple countries and regions.
• Monitor and report upon key SLAs, metrics and KPIs.
• Track and resolve escalations from employees and stakeholders to ensure that issues are addressed with accuracy and speed.
• Carry out audits and checks on Payroll data to ensure ongoing accuracy and processing diligence and participate in Payroll projects both on a regional and EMEA level.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with employees and stakeholders to explain and resolve queries and concerns.
• Eliminate bottlenecks and optimise Payroll processes and data flows with the other HR stakeholders

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of global Payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements for various jurisdictions. Knowledge of UK Payroll regulations is essential.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, preferably in a Shared Service/ Operations organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Payroll processes.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and systems.
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience owning compliance related topics and performing necessary audits.
• Business fluency in English required.
