HR Operations Manager

About the Role
Seeking a highly organised, process-driven HR professional to lead and centralise our HR administration and advisory support across our UK operations. With a workforce of approximately 150 employees (between casuals and permanent) and BambooHR in place, we are looking to improve the rigour, consistency, and efficiency of our HR service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration Management

  • Lead and manage the HR Assistants to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely HR admin support.
  • Manage a centralised HR admin inbox and fair task allocation system.
  • Drive improvements in HR admin processes, checklists, and documentation standards.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy in all employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, changes, leavers, etc.).

HR Advisory Support

  • Provide hands-on support for employee relations cases, including performance management, grievances, and absence management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to line managers, particularly in operational and finance teams.
  • Support the COO with policy implementation and case management.

BambooHR & Systems

  • Champion the effective use of BambooHR, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Train and support the team in getting the best out of the system.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to the HR Assistants.
  • Work collaboratively with COO to balance admin and advisory workloads.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in HR operations, shared services, or administrative roles.
  • Most recent background in Technology
  • A background in permanent roles rather than short-term or contract-based positions, to ensure deep understanding of organisational culture and continuity.
  • Strong understanding of HR administration and employee relations.
  • Experience in small HR teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of BambooHR or similar HRIS.
  • Process-oriented with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Full Right to Work in the UK - No Sponsorship offered.
  • A lateral thinker who can spot inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.
