The Role

Our company has experienced significant growth in the EMEA region over the last five years, and we have plans for further expansion. The HR Operations Manager will lead the HR Operations team, ensuring efficient and effective management of all HR processes, focusing on payroll management.

This role involves overseeing the execution of HR policies, compliance with labour laws, managing employee data, and improving HR systems to enhance the employee experience. The HR Operations Manager will work closely with HR leadership and other departments to support the organisation's strategic objectives.

In this Role, you'll get to:

1. HR Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, policy and procedure enquiries, employee data management, and HR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
  • Manage and optimise HR systems and processes, including HRIS, attendance, and employee self-service portals. Coordinate with IT and vendors to implement and maintain HR systems.

2. Payroll and Benefits Management:

  • Oversee and manage the entire payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages and salaries.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, wage laws, and other payroll-related legislation.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams for payroll reconciliation and reporting.
  • Continuously evaluate payroll processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Benefits research, analysis, vendor sourcing and management, and benefits administrations.

3. Policy Implementation and Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with HR policies and legal requirements, conducting audits as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving complex HR issues and escalations.

4. Data Management and Reporting:

  • Manage employee records and ensure the accuracy of HR data across all systems.
  • Generate and analyse HR metrics and reports to provide insights to senior management.
  • Support decision-making by providing relevant data and analysis on HR trends.

5. Employee Relations and Engagement Support:

  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related queries and issues.
  • Ensure a positive employee experience through effective HR service delivery.
  • Lead organisational culture events budget management and implementations

6. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the HR operations team, ensuring professional development and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance HR operations efficiency.

7. Project Management:

  • Lead and participate in HR projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and organisational change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

What you'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in HR operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA local countries' employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems, HRIS, and other HR management systems.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and translate it into clear, actionable policies, procedures and SOPs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with critical thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organisation.
  • CIPD HR certification
  • European languages are a bonus
  • Customer service industry experience is a plus but not essential
