Senior Client Manager

Purpose
The Senior Client Manager, is experienced and commercially driven and will be responsible for achieving targets by driving growth in specific accounts. This role combines account ownership with a hunter mindset - identifying, developing, and converting new opportunities within existing accounts and across targeted prospects.
Key facets of this role
(1) To achieve account-level sales targets
- Work with the Head of Sales to ensure account initiatives consistently meet or exceed quarterly targets in alignment with overall company objectives.
- Own and develop a portfolio of accounts, proactively identifying opportunities to cross-sell, up-sell, and increase the account footprint.
- Lead the full commercial cycle, taking overall responsibility for identifying opportunities, proposal writing, negotiation, and closing successful, profitable deals.
- Developing and executing account growth plans aligned to sales targets, converting marketing-qualified leads into a qualified pipeline through targeted outreach.
- Monitor leadership changes and maintain accurate CRM/SF management and pipeline discipline to generate future sales.
(2) To strengthen long-term client relationships
- Build and expand senior and executive-level relationships within accounts, navigating complex dynamics with empathy and integrity.
- Serve as the "voice of the client" on projects to ensure the organisation delivers exactly what was promised and expected.
- Partner with delivery teams to shape solutions, identify follow-on sales during post-project reviews, and manage complex issues for top-priority clients.
- Represent the organisation at relevant events and meetings to build high-level connections and professional credibility.
(3) To support the broader growth of the business
- Support sales activity across all target market segments, including awareness campaigns and events.
- Act as a role model for the clients team in terms of focus, commercial acumen, and consultative selling skills.

The type of person we need in this role
This role can only be done effectively by someone who has:
- 5+ years' experience in account management or business development within professional services or a consultancy environment.
- A forward-thinking strategic mindset capable of driving measurable business outcomes while proactively anticipating market shifts and mitigating potential risks.
- The ability to adapt to changing client needs and market dynamics.
- Strong commercial instincts, with an expert understanding of client priorities, able to address complex challenges and deliver solutions that align with business goals.
- Extensive account management experience, with a proven history of success working at a senior level with strategic clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and sustained growth.
- The ability to inspire action across cross-functional teams to achieve measurable business outcomes
