Job Title: HR Manager

Salary: £61,110+ (Depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
- Build strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders to align HR support with business strategy and objectives
- Develop and implement the People and Organisation Strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Design and deliver the tactical People Plan supporting strategic goals and specific HR projects
- Provide coaching and guidance to senior leaders on key HR areas including Employee Relations and Talent Management
- Lead coach and develop the HR team, fostering personal growth and high performance
- Use people data and market trends to identify risks and opportunities, and inform the People Plan
- Coordinate HR solutions from internal teams and third parties to meet business and stakeholders needs and deliver the People Plan effectively
- Sponsor and drive complex business change projects ensuring alignment with HR strategy and objectives
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Knowledge and experience in HR capability areas including reward, performance cycles, organisation design, employee relations, and talent management
- Experience working across multiple business and functional areas and building strong stakeholder relationships, including within a matrix organisation and a unionised environment
- Strong understanding of industry trends, competitor landscape, and challenges facing the defence sector
- Ability to prioritise competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and work autonomously while collaborating with HR Leads and teams
Desirable:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiation, influencing, and active listening
- Ability to interpret people data into insights for key stakeholders and inform decision-making
- Personal resilience and ability to navigate challenging conversations to uphold HR governance
