About Standing Together:

Standing Together is a UK-based charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse and creating safer communities. We work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including local authorities, police, and health services, to improve responses to domestic abuse and support survivors. We pioneered the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) approach in the UK, a multi-agency partnership model that ensures the safety of survivors while holding abusers accountable.

Through innovative training, advocacy, and community engagement, we empower individuals and organisations to challenge and change the systems that allow domestic abuse to persist. Our mission is to ensure everyone can live free from violence and abuse, fostering a culture of respect and equality. By leveraging research and best practices, we strive to influence policy and practice, making a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by domestic abuse.

Purpose of the role:

We are seeking a confident and capable HR Manager to lead and oversee all operational HR functions within our organisation. In this key role, you'll be instrumental in managing the full employee lifecycle, creating a seamless and positive experience for employees, and ensuring HR practices are aligned with organisational goals and legal standards.

This is a fast-paced role, requiring someone with emotional resilience, adaptability, and a strong ability to instil confidence in the HR service. You'll be the go-to expert, building trust with managers and employees alike by providing clear, consistent guidance and delivering solutions that drive positive outcomes. You will excel at navigating challenges and take pride in creating a trusted and respected HR function.

Key Duties - What you will be doing:

  • Oversee all HR operations, managing a small team to deliver an efficient and respected HR service.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive employee experience at all touchpoints.
  • Ensure HR processes are streamlined, identifying areas for productivity improvements or resource savings.
  • Provide professional advice to managers on employee relations, policy application, and conflict resolution.
  • Support the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in strategic decision-making and executing transformation plans.
  • Manage absence processes, disciplinary actions, and grievance cases with fairness and consistency.
  • Coordinate regular reviews of policies to ensure they remain up-to-date and legally compliant.
  • Monitor and report on HR metrics to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll in collaboration with Finance and manage compensation and benefits processes.
  • Support managers in handling change, including recruitment, difficult decisions, and performance management.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive company culture, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment.
  • Plan and deliver projects, ensuring successful implementation and measurable results.

About You - Skills & Experience:

  • Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 minimum
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar HR role, ideally in an organisation with a similar landscape to STADA.
  • Proficient in HR software (ideally HiBob) and data management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations, ensuring the organisation remains compliant.
  • Skilled in creating concise reports, presentations, and data analysis (using MS Office).
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building trust and professional relationships at all levels.
  • Experience in coaching managers through change and guiding them in decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven, using insights to inform sound decisions.
  • Able to effectively prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
