Job Title: HR Advisor – Governance & Reporting
Location: Glasgow, or any BAE Systems Naval Ships site. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the HR Function in the production and analysis of Management Information for all related HR stakeholder meetings to include the HR Director at Senior Leadership Teams Business Reviews
- Reporting, analysing and identifying risks and opportunities in key HR processes
- Acting on feedback sourced directly from business customers on current reporting and visualisation dashboards
- Liaising with Corporate and Naval Ships Reporting teams around business demands for data dashboards and building dashboards for stakeholder engagement where necessary
- Identifying and implementing opportunities across the company for more effective reporting and smarter ways of working
- Maintaining a programme of data governance & cleansing reviews with Functional Leads using data from HR systems such as Success Factors, Time & Attendance Workforce Manager & Payroll
- Supporting the HR Governance Manager with continued HR Improvement project demands
- Providing solutions for any ad hoc reporting requirements either via current Enterprise offerings or own reporting capabilities
- Managing any related improvement plans, potentially involving direct training support for the actionee within the Naval Ships business
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Strong ability to interpret requirements and to analyse raw data, with a logical eye for trends and patterns and drive insight for the organisation
- Experience of working collaboratively across teams and a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong IT ability – Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel data manipulation and formulae and proficient user of PowerPoint
Desirable:
- Tableau Dashboard production and/or Alteryx data analytics platform
- Knowledge of HR policies, systems and processes

As an HR Advisor – Governance & Reporting, you’ll be at the heart of dynamic business unit, shared services and enterprise-wide projects, engaging closely with centres of expertise in data, reward, talent, and recruitment. Reporting directly to the HR Manager – Governance Systems and Processes, you’ll have exposure to various stakeholders and ample opportunities for networking. With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll work across diverse teams and interact with other functions, implementing innovative projects whenever you spot opportunities. You’ll be supported by the HR Director & HR Leadership Team who are passionate about empowering you to bring your ideas to life.
