We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeping Manager to join our group of hotels, namely the Windmill Village Hotel and Manor Hotel; working over both of our sites. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Housekeeping Manager to work with our housekeeping teams. You must have proven experience in working with high standards, working with a large, diverse team and also have great attention to detail.

This is a fast paced role; with the main area of responsibility including supervising, leading and motivating the teams with a focus on dedication of the highest level of cleanliness. The Housekeeping Manager will also assist in the forward planning of the department and ensuring Guest and Employee satisfaction at all times.

You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below, combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service through your team.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Support the smooth running of the housekeeping departments, where all aspects of the guest experience are delivered to the highest levels.
  • Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries and problem resolution.
  • Deliver on plans and objectives where housekeeping initiatives & hotel targets are achieved.
  • Manage the housekeeping teams, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the departments.
  • Be responsible for the departmental budgets, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, and that productivity and performance levels are attained.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key departments across all sites.
  • Deliver an effective programme that advances service standards, profitability and cost control.
  • Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping, as identified by the hotels brand standards.
  • Perform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit; performing follow-up as required.
