Our Guest Environment Experts are skilled in a wide range of housekeeping functions with responsibility for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the whole hotel. They are empowered to move about their space and do what needs to be done. Whether delivering guest requests, stocking carts, cleaning rooms and public spaces, or other similar responsibilities, the Guest Environment Expert makes sure the spaces in the hotel help create a great guest experience.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Directs and works with associates to ensure property guestrooms, public space and associate areas are clean and well maintained.
- Completes inspections and holds people accountable for corrective action.
- Assists in ensuring guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
- The role overseas Housekeeping in a complex hotel operation in a grade 2 listed building.
Professional attributes, skills & experience:
- Experience - 1 year in a similar role.
- Basic Computer Skills - Uses basic computer hardware and software (e.g., word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).
- Mathematical Reasoning - Demonstrates ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly, correctly, and in a way that allows one to solve work-related issues.
- Oral Comprehension - Demonstrates ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Reading Comprehension - Demonstrates understanding of written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Writing - Communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
