We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hospitality Manager to join our team at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our hospitality services, from match day operations to high-end corporate events. This role requires a hands-on approach, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage a large team in a fast-paced environment.

Edgbaston Cricket Ground is one of the UK's most iconic sporting venues, hosting a variety of international and domestic cricket matches, as well as numerous corporate events, conferences, and private functions throughout the year. More about the role:

  • Be responsible for the set up and delivery of all hospitality services during cricket matches, corporate events, and private functions
  • Manage the Day Delegate service, dinner services and managing the staff in the room
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of hospitality staff, ensuring high standards of food and drink service are maintained
  • Ensure food and beverage offerings meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Work closely with the C&E sales team to tailor hospitality packages to meet their specific needs and exceed their expectations
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue opportunities within the hospitality department
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the guest experience, implementing feedback and driving innovation within the hospitality offering
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure seamless service delivery

About you:

  • Proven experience in a similar operation hospitality management role, preferably within a large sporting venue or event space.
  • Understanding of hospitality delivery of banqueting service, Conferencing food service, general bar service and restaurant service
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the events calendar
