Job Title: Team Manager
Base Location: Cornwall
Salary: £35,884 - £47,391depending on skills and experience, bonus scheme, car/cash allowance plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent; Monday - Friday 8am-4pm.

Could you be our next Team Manager to join the team and drive this success forwards?
What will I be doing in this role?
You will be planning and programming works for a team to operate safely and efficiently on the Highways. The works must be completed in date, on budget and safely to meet the required contract KPIs.
In a typical day, you could expect to be;
- Overseeing delivery and execution of contractual works, including installation and maintenance of street lighting, traffic signals, road signs and CCTV to meet client specifications and deadlines.
- Completing pre-task risk assessments
- Managing budgets and resources effectively to maximise project profitability
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and the public to ensure seamless project integration
- Leading and managing up to a team of 10 operatives and sub-contractors
- Briefing the team and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations are met
What do I need to be successful in the role?
We're on the lookout for a positive, people-focused Manager to join our team, and we are open to people from outside of our industry. We're after someone with experience in leading, motivating, and coaching staff to get great results while creating a supportive environment for everyone. We'd also love to see:
- Experience of planning and programming works
- Knowledge of job costing and budgets.
- Skilled at setting people to work and performance management of a range of staff
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Able to manage positive relationships with clients or customers
- Full UK Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations
Some of our 'nice to haves' are;
- Knowledge of sustainable practices in highway construction and maintenance
- The ability to closely manage a commercial relationship (ideally with local authorities) ensuring the clients are happy with standards of work delivered
- A good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace (SMSTS or IOSH certification would be plus)
- Project Management or Management qualifications (PMP certification or any relevant certification would be a bonus!)
