Core Responsibilities
The Fixed Income High Yield Portfolio Manager on the Fixed Income Index Team;
• Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Manages and oversees assigned fixed income index portfolios that meet or exceed performance standards consistent with investment objectives while adhering to client-specified or regulatory restrictions and constraints.
• Ensures portfolio risk is managed by working with the investment teams and confirming that all aspects of the investment decision process are consistent with guidelines and standards.
• Ensures that portfolio construction and trading decisions are implemented in line with investment objectives, Investment Management Agreements and the Risk Management Statement.
• Implements and oversees processes and controls to determine and demonstrate compliance with the regulations for individual role being performed and for the department.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
• Twelve years of related work experience, including Five years investment management experience. Five years High Yield Fixed Income experience required. Experience managing Index portfolios preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in finance or economics or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
• CFA preferred.
