Job Description

The HPMO Manager role will establish and lead HPMO processes, principles, and best practice standards in line with Heathrow's vision and strategy, which will support and align to the Benefits Management Strategy & Approach, Solutions Entry Framework, the Business Plan on a Page (our key strategic objectives for the year) and the overall Heathrow Change Portfolio.

The role will be responsible for designing, collating, and presenting insightful reporting at an Exec and Senior level covering the breadth of the Solutions Portfolio. The HPMO Manager needs to be comfortable with challenging data and assumptions to identify root cause of issues and make the right recommendations for action. The role is also responsible for working with stakeholders to ensure portfolio performance is on track and the Benefits & Outcomes will be realised.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and support the successful implementation of the H-PMOs vision, strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables across and within the business.
  • Exec and Senior level stakeholder engagement and management throughout the organisation
  • Owning and managing risks, issues, & dependencies, ensuring the appropriate processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Performance assurance and reporting including design and implementation of insightful reports and dashboards.
  • Triage and analysis of reports and data, highlighting key, often cross-cutting issues and making recommendations for consideration at a senior level
  • Working with the Head of HPMO, champion the delivery and adoption of the Benefits Management Framework across the strategic programmes and Change Portfolio
  • Leading the H7 Portfolio Performance reporting

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Project Management and/or Portfolio management
  • Experience in successfully leading and managing change
  • Demonstrable ability to produce evidence based, accurate and insightful analysis
  • Adaptable and flexible style demonstrating an ability to move from detail to strategic level of information
  • Excellent stakeholder skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and to influence
  • Ability to synthesise large and complex concepts into the fundamentals
  • Digitally savvy with SharePoint, O365 and MS office apps (Excel and PowerPoint) expertise

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Professional qualifications (membership of an appropriate institution) or evidence of continued personal development

Working Location

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
