Barking and Dagenham Healthy Child Programme seeks an experienced Children's Services Manager.

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you an experienced manager looking for a new challenge working with families, children & young people and positively impacting their lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a hard working and passionate individual to join our Healthy Child Programme.

This role is based in Barking and Dagenham and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate awareness of and the ability to be responsive to children's health needs within the local population. We are looking for an aspirational leader with experience knowledge and understanding of the Healthy Child Programme, with a proven track record within children's health practice.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality integrated services, achieving positive outcomes for Children, Young people, families and the Community.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record in leading outcome-based programmes strategically
  • Have relevant professional qualification at level 3 or higher in childcare, youth work, health and social care or education
  • Be computer literate and competently use the Microsoft suite of programmes including Teams, Outlook, Dynamics 365, Word and Excel.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build strong professional relationships with a broad range of professional partners.
  • Be experienced in leading and managing a team including the delivery of supervision and providing project oversight
  • Be able to track and report on performance of the service as required.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to be based within a dynamic integrated service but employed and supported by a charity with a long history of working with and for children and young people (over 150 years!). Our work is holistic, and evidence based, and we actively encourage the participation of families children and young people in all aspects of our work.

    Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band - this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.
