About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Healthcare Senior Associate with a strong background in inquests to join our dynamic Newcastle team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse portfolio of healthcare cases, focusing on inquests and related healthcare matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a passion for healthcare law and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in inquest proceedings, including preparation and advocacy.
  • Provide expert legal advice on healthcare matters, including clinical negligence, regulatory issues, and patient safety.
  • Manage a caseload of healthcare cases with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with clients, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and evidence.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including witness statements, reports, and correspondence.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to the growth of the healthcare practice.

About you

  • Qualified with significant experience in healthcare law and inquests.
  • Strong advocacy skills and experience representing clients at inquests.
  • Excellent understanding of healthcare regulations and clinical negligence.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and work independently.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
