Location: Home based with frequent travel to our company offices and portfolio of developments across the UK
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum + car allowance & enhanced benefits & rewards

It's an exciting time for us here at Pegasus Homes and we have a great opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join us.
About the role
As our Health & Safety Manager you will provide a strategic and governance role across the group. You'll work in partnership with our Operations, Central and Development teams leading on our H&S and Fire Safety strategy and all associated policies and procedures.
Your key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and review the overall strategy for Pegasus Homes for H&S and Fire Safety
- Lead and participate in regular monthly H&S meetings with key stakeholders across Pegasus Homes
- Ensure that an appropriate level of audit/inspection of work places and practices is carried out in accordance with the risk profile and a monitored programme is put in place and implemented.
- Visit and inspect any new development as it achieves PC to ensure all risk assessments, statutory signage etc is in place and all team members are confident with regards to H&S practices at the development.
- Oversee external health and safety and fire safety consultants, advisors and other key relationships (e.g. Primary Authority, Water Management) including ensuring that arrangements are in place for the provision by the external H&S and Fire Safety consultants.
- Lead on Access E-Learning H&S Policies and training including induction training for new starters.
- This is a full time, permanent role in which you'll be home based with frequent travel across our portfolio of developments as well as our offices which are located in Winchester and Cheltenham.
About you
You'll have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar health and safety role in an operational environment with a proven track record of implementing health and safety strategies across a wide range of complex and geographically spread projects.
You'll have a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health as a minimum and a full driving licence and own vehicle.
Key skills & experience
- Computer literate with excellent IT skills and a working knowledge of using software packages including Google Suite
- Recent practical experience of leading a health & safety team/function across a multi site environment
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing in a clear and constructive way
- Self-motivated and able to organise your workload as well as have the ability to build and maintain working relationships across our business.
