Health & Safety Manager
Shropshire base
Monday Friday
37.5 hrs (between 0800- 1800)
Circa £40,000 plus excellent benefits

Role objective:
Develop, control and lead initiatives across Health & Safety, Environment & Facilities across the site to ensure all stakeholders are aware of responsibilities and act accordingly
• Identify hazards and complete risk assessments
• Advise on improvements
• Educate stakeholders within the group and create a positive Health & Safety culture
• Oversee security, parking, cleaning and building works as part of the remit
• Lead on sustainability and energy efficiencies
• Analyse all costings related to insurance, amenities, waste etc to ensure best value
Essential criteria:
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Able to work under pressure and make decisions that solve problems as they arise.
A higher-level qualification relating to OHS / EHS
Solid experience in managing the Health & Safety function within a manufacturing or similar environment
Good budgetary control experience
Continuous Improvement & lean techniques experience
