Purpose of the Role

Join the R&D department as the Head of UX/UI Engineering, where you'll lead on concept work, development and validation across all elements of User Experience and User Interface, spanning Bentley's entire product range.

Reporting into the Director of Electronics you will be responsible for the delivery of all Components, Functions, and sub systems. Including Human Machine interface, Switchgear, Interior lighting and General Infotainment on time, to quality and costs.

The role holder will be accountable for the overall quality and stability of all UX areas, directing and influencing our UX/UI Strategy to launch state of the art technology and software.

• Responsible for the development and delivery of all UX Components, Functions, and sub systems related to User Experience, User Interface, Human Machine interface, Switchgear, Interior lighting and General Infotainment
• Delivering on time, quality and costs with agreed resources on the baseline of VW Group modules
• Establish and maintain a close link with all Group Brands and CARIAD to maximise synergies while delivering high customer impact
• Deliver resolution of quality and warranty issues via Engineering Change processes
• Lead, direct and influence the holistic Bentley UX/UI Strategy to launch state of the art technology and software to meet the internal attribute targets and customer demands
• Enable the functionality of all business areas after launch with UI Technologies
• Drive the UX/UI Strategy and influence the overall direction of this technology for Bentley within Group
• Represent Bentley's UX/UI department in senior leadership meetings within Bentley board and VW Group
• Complete Bentley customer interaction strategy across all products and domains
• Responsible for decision and direction of all user experience and interaction in the vehicle

Our energetic and nimble team is responsible for crafting luxury UX for Bentley's present and future vehicles, from the initial sketch to the final software delivery. We work across User Interface (UI), graphics, interaction design, interior lighting, sound, displays, switches, antennas, and software. About you - Skills and Experience

• Experience working as Head of UX/UI within the Automotive Industry
• Understanding of technical differences across world markets and across different automotive companies within car architecture, Software, Electrical and Electronic components and functions
• Experience Leading, directing and influencing complete UX/UI Strategy
• A proven understanding and knowledge of Electrical and Electronic Functions and Processes
• Knowledge of all associated systems and processes linked to product development
• Demonstrable concept to detailed design problem solving skills
• Process experience from launch to production
• Effective communicator with a commitment to building positive relationships with other functions
• Experience networking and building relationships with key suppliers
• Cross functional experience in the electronic process chain (engineering to aftersales)
• Ability to lead and motivate large complex teams to aligned goals
• Project and budget delivery in line with business financial targets
