Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience gained
- Relevant Project Management qualification
- Significant experience training/experience in programme management
Desirable criteria
- A financial qualification (preferably chartered accountant e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Programme and/or Project Management experience including the development of project management frameworks, monitoring, and review processes
- Delivering objectives to timescales and finding innovative solutions to complex problems
- Proven track record of developing good working relationships with divisional managers, clinicians to engage in delivery of programmes
- Using data and other benchmarking tools to inform decision making
Desirable criteria
- Working as a PMO manager, preferably in an acute Trust.
Skills, abilities, and knowledge
Essential criteria
- An applied knowledge of programme management tools and techniques along with performance management frameworks to deliver results
- A strong understanding of good governance processes including good risk management processes
- A solid understanding of the NHS regulatory framework
Desirable criteria
- A comprehensive knowledge of financial management in the NHS
