#LI-Hybrid What you'll do
You'll lead and establish and new, multi-disciplinary Technology Value & Insight team accountable for transparency, insight and optimisation of our £600m+ annual spend and assuring the associated value creation from our investments. Specifically:

  • Lead a direct and matrixed team to enable insight, oversight and optimisation of M&S technology spend including cost optimisation initiatives, benchmarking, value creation and realisation, efficiency and consumption metrics. More holistically, responsible for establishing and embed value engineering skills across D&T.
  • As Product Owner, and in partnership with the CTO team, design and implement the strategic tooling ecosystem to enable transparency and optimisation both short and long term, demonstrating Technology Business Management ("TBM"), FinOps and Asset Management teams.
  • Lead and mature our Asset Management practice, with coverage across all software and technology hardware, including practices, process, governance and tooling to provide critical data and insight to strategic and operational decision making.
  • Lead on the identification, mobilisation and delivery of material cost optimisation or value creation opportunities across D&T with impact spanning the M&S Business Areas. Establish robust tracking and assurance governance across the delivery of material technology value outcomes for M&S.
  • Lead the FinOps Centre of Excel, responsible for driving transparency of our cloud-based technologies, identifying and driving opportunities for optimisation across a cost base of more than £150m, as well owning and developing standard methodology tooling, processes and frameworks.

Who you are

  • Expert commercial competence, with the ability to blend technical, operational and critical thinking. Strong understanding of technology economics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to encourage, engage, influence and secure consensus across senior leadership and to articulate technology value and TCO to c-suite partners.
  • Track record of leading high performing team that deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Collaborator with the ability to engage and manage diverse teams and customers to drive shared outcomes.
  • Track record of leading large, sophisticated optimisation programmes with cross-functional teams spanning geographies
